They are completely unsuitable for you to go outside in public wearing them in that manner. So I'll tell you what I'm going to do to help you appreciate that for the future. When we get home you'll go upstairs and fetch me that large wooden hairbrush from your dressing table. Then I'm going to put you across my knee and apply the hairbrush with some vigour to the seat of your 'leggings' - I'm very confident that you'll quickly come to realise that they do not offer an appropriate level of protection for being seen in public and you'll have something to remember the next time you're choosing your wardrobe to go shopping."
